27 November 2009 – 03 January 2010

This exhibition is being organised in collaboration with the Malta Hospice Movement.

Since 1976 Mario Borg Sillato has been experimenting with a technique which simulates graffiato with scratching on wood surfaces and inlays of oil paint. These 'engravings' usually focus on human and animal life, often depicted in a chiaroscuro style.

He also creates iron-statue art objects, employing a welding technique, forge system, sheet metal structuring and grinding. The result is a composition highlighting the qualities of the artist and the materials he uses.
