Barcelona, 07/03/2008 - 03/05/2008 Jordi Bernadó utilizes photography as a medium to reveal the city, its architecture and the urban panorama in general. His understanding of photography is a means to discover his subject. His ambition, vision, and rigour are what help him to decode his environment and transcend it to create works that are wide-ranging, personal and complex. The photographs exhibited in this show originate from two distinct projects and are presented as an introduction to each one: Welcome to Espaiñ and Roma. These series allow us the opportunity to travel through Spain and The Eternal City from the view of the artist: Bernadó´s perspective is mutually contradictory, absurd, happenstance and ironic. His sensibility is used as a way of playing with and capturing his surroundings. Likewise, the spectator is invited to use his/her imagination and push the limits of these photographs and perceive the moment. _________________ galeria SENDA Consell de Cent, 337 08007 Barcelona Tel: (34) 93 487 67 59 Fax: (34) 93 488 21 99 info@galeriasenda.com www.galeriasenda.com |
