Bigger part of the works were made in the last twenty years, and part of them are new works conceived to establish direct conceptual link with the older works. Taki Pavlovski was born in 1939 in Zelino, Kostur area in Greece. He has graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1964. "... From mythology and religion the artist has taken the solemnity of the painting with some overtones of the totemic symbol as a trade-mark of transcedental, and yet concrete, situations; history has served him as his damatic text, but also as something more than just that. In the first place he wishes to halt that which is constant in it, which repeats itself, its rhythmic pattern, wishing to continue his examination of those values, converting them from universals into individual situations. The artist accepts the enveroment and the folklore of his people as an important task, turning to that inexhaustible fund of those foreshortenings which are at the same time an analysis of the past and an analysis of what exists, a dialogue with the past and with the present..."
