At Victoria and Albert Museum, London, from 2 February until 23 April 2006. Exhibition on the life and work of Anna Piaggi, the influential Italian journalist, stylist and editor. This exhibition will look at Piaggi's trend naming and the clothes that inspired them, pulling from her vast wardrobe by designer's such as Balenciaga, Gaultier and Lagerfeld.
An eccentric cult figure and doyenne of the fashion shows Anna Piaggi is an extraordinary woman. Her skill for identifying trends from the catwalk collections and presenting them with graphic flair has been hugely influential. For the past 15 years she has worked as creative consultant to Italian Vogue, each month publishing her Doppie Pagine (double page spread).
