20 April - 27 May 2008. Drawings and Fired Clay The exhibition consists of a series larger and smaller drawings in brush and acrylic paint with this time a lot of cats. Besides that men on horseback, scenes of human life and horses made of fired clay. It is the third time that Agata Siwek exhibits with Gallery Josine Bokhoven. Agata Siwek is a comprehensive artist. She is attracted by the most divergent art forums, materials, and techniques: graphics, woodcarving, modelling, bronzecasting, embroidery, sewing, knit-ting, ceramics, installation. Yet drawing is probably her greatest passion. Love for nature -plants, animals, human beings- are her source of inspiration. In her drawing she shows, besides a sharp eye for detail, an unmistakeable comic and satyric talent. However, how well done the images are, yet the main interest of Agata Siwek lies in the possibilities, which paint and brush offer her to achieve an exciting organisation of the forms. ____________________ Galerie Josine Bokhoven Prinsengracht 154 Amsterdam 1016 HA Tel: +31 (0)20 623 6598 www.galeriejosinebokhoven.nl |
