Belgrade Today it’s hard to imagine a world without Muppets in. Imagine if we still only had Pinocchio to play with, the hands would be too busy holding strings all of the time. But with Muppets, you have a free hand to handle, as being on television and all. Well, I did some research and I have found that before Kermit the Frog and Tickle Me Elmo there were other pre-Muppet puppets. These were made of wood and used strings to dance and talk. Viva la puppetry all over the world, ever since black and white TV. There is a birthday bash for world’s favorite children’s television show of all time and everybody is invited! A fantastic new inspiration for theatre show today. The original television show Muppet Show originally started 1976 and ended 1981, while other show in the same production Sesame’s Show still lasts. London Independent reports that the direction of the brand new film could be given to Michael Gracey, since the idea maker of this show Jim Hensen died in 1990. Animation cartoons were more popular at the time, but Muppetry at Muppet Show kind of set the idea shelf of the Disney people for a long time. In the 1970’s, Muppets were shown on local television, instead of investing a lots of money on Disney film. Today’s 40 anniversary in theatre was celebrated in US by the Smithsonian's Discovery Theater in Washington D.C., but just instead Muppet Show turns to preserve the Seasame Street 40 Anniversary at Lisner Auditorium, George Washington University. It turned out that people who had a hard time with reading the alphabet in US, as well as educated people all over the world, really liked Muppets so the show became a huge hit- a brand new form of innovation entertainment! A Birthday Bash in Serbia This year Serbia celebrates Muppet Show: Belgrade’s Student Cultural Centre celebrated 40 years with staged musical on 18th of March 2010. The direction and screenplay has been written by Miki Milutinović: the show combines unique gigantic puppet animation, alive music played by real performers beneath the Muppet mask, real Muppet Show video screen and very little interaction with public. “We all have been very excited while doing the show and it left us a permanent scripture in our minds†said Miki. The show encourages tolerance and humanity, something that made Muppet Show a great show and inter-plantar phenomena during its life on television. Unless you’ve been living out of this world, you probably loved Muppets as much as everyone else. Muppetry today has changed movies and television from just having people in them to having Muppets. Each puppet represent different today. Kermit the frog for instance is green and he likes the environment. So the other puppets: each puppet represents a new idea of inter-plantar tolerance or humanity call. 40 Years of Muppet Show Anniversary is clever and edgy, and just a bit of confusing for nowadays children, because nowadays children have other idols and cartoons to adore. But, is this only the 40 time we’ve celebrated the Muppets in their entire history? It is anniversary most likely aimed for people who are in their 30s-40s-50s now? Therefore the show presented in Belgrade’s SKC is a phenomena for grown ups who want to go back to their childhood. The most astonishing about Belgrade show at Student Cultural Centre were definitely nearly identical to real Muppet puppets. Masks and puppets were created by Zorana MiloÅ¡aković from Belgrade’s Pinocchio Puppet Theatre for Children and Goran BelanÄević from DuÅ¡ko Radović Theatre for Children. The special guests of the show, under brilliant masks were Luka Piljetić and MiÅ¡a Gajić, Belgrade’s actors that worked with celebrities such as Rade Sherberdzija and Vanessa Redgraeev.
