The Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein looks upon its collection as the main focus of its activities. Since the inauguration of the museum, therefore, they have been presenting that collection according to a principle of dialogue. The main
theme of these presentations is the spiritual relevance of the respective artworks.

The exhibition "Transformation" is devoted to processes of transformation: by way of images of our society, of nature and of man, the exhibition takes the visitor on a journey, allowing him to become immersed in the transformations of our everyday life, and highlighting his – man's –
potential. In works dating from the 17th to the present century, we discover the hazard involved in departure and the risk inherent in change.

On show, among others, will be works by Absalon, Joseph Beuys, Umberto Boccioni, Louise Bourgeois, Gustave Courbet, Tony Cragg, Rineke Dijkstra,
Otto Freundlich, Paul Gauguin, Olafur Gislason, Thomas Hirschorn, MeindertHobbema, Rebecca Horn, Annemarie Jehle, Fabian Marcaccio, Rita McBride,
Mario Merz, Piet Mondrian, Emil Nolde, Julian Opie, David Reed, Simon Starling, Rosemarie Trockel.

Opening: Thursday, June 8, 2006, 6 to 10 p.m.

At 6.30 p.m. addresses:
Welcome
Friedemann Malsch, Director
