Thousands of works by dozens of artists go on view under a single roof when the eighth annual Art Ireland art fair takes place in the Main Hall RDS, Dublin from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th November 2007.

The country's biggest visual arts event of the year, over 175 galleries and independent artists are taking part in Art Ireland 2007, presenting members of the art buying public with the chance to view an enormous range of paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs and other works of art.

A showcase for both emerging and established names, participation by so many artists represents a unique opportunity for buyers to meet the artists who created the works on view.

The standing of Art Ireland as a major international art fair is reflected by the presence of a large number of overseas exhibitors, including artists and galleries from Austria, Argentina, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Mongolia, Russia, Spain, Thailand and over a dozen exhibitors from the UK.

According to Art Ireland Director Maria McMenamin, the tremendous scale and diversity of the event allows dedicated collectors and casual buyers alike to view a huge range of subjects and styles in just one visit. "Because Art Ireland is an informal, family-friendly event, people can look forward and to enjoying the occasion in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere," she adds.
